The air-conditioning was shutdown in the Machine Room to
check the air-tightness to comply to the fire codes.
Servers were shutdown to prevent overheat.

July 26-27, August 2-3,
and August 9-10, 2008 - intermittent downtime
Due to issues with
construction within Tyler Hall, it has become imperative
for Media & Tech Services to physically relocate
fiber-optic cabling that runs into Tyler and continues
on into the central computer room. The process of this
relocation will take place over the course of three
weekends: July 26-27, August 2-3,
and August 9-10. During these days, network
connectivity with the Tyler computer room will be
sporadic at best. There
will certainly be instances where there will be no
connectivity at all to the computer room.
All servers based in the Tyler machine room (Email, Peoplesoft,
Oracle Calendar, Network Storage, eCampus, WebCT) will not have
stable network connectivity during the maintenance period.
