How to Login
Students: If your
instructor chooses to use WebCT as a teaching tool, You will
see your instructor's WebCT course materials two weeks before
semester starts.
To login to
WebCT, to to http://www.uri.edu/webct,
click the login icon
to the
left of the screen.
Enter your WebCT id and password in
the subsequent login screen. See the explanation below if you do not
know your WebCT id and password.

Your WebCT id is the
same spelling as your e-Campus ID in lowercase.

Your password is the
same as the one you use for the email on the mail.uri.edu system.
If you do not know it, try the default password which is your
birthdate in mmddyyyy format (e.g., 03021980). NOTE: it is NOT
the one you use to login to e-Campus.

Change
your password from
the default as soon as possible. Note: your WebCT password and
your e-mail password on the mail.uri.edu system are managed by the
same authentication system. Your new password will apply to both
systems.

Can't Login?
It could be one of the following problems

Check
if you have a typo in the ID and password
field. The ID should always be entered as lowercase.

Are you in the system yet?
New and Transferring Students
- Depending on which semester you register into, your WebCT id is
valid as the following schedule:

If you register into the Fall semester, your id is valid after
May 1.

If you register into the Spring semester, your id is valid
after January 1.
-
If you registered into the Summer sessions, your id is valid
after May 1.
New faculty
and staff - Call the Help Desk (874-HELP) if you can not
login to WebCT after you have completed your employment paperwork
and obtained an e-Campus id.

Forgot your ID?
Your WebCT id is the same spelling as your e-Campus id, but in
lowercase.
First login to e-Campus system to make sure you know your e-Campus
id correctly. If you can not login to e-Campus system due to wrong
id, you can retrieve your e-Campus id
online.
Then login to WebCT with your e-Campus id in
lowercase.
- Forgot your password?
Your WebCT password, by default, is your birth date in mmddyyyy
format, such as 03171984. It is NOT your e-Campus password.
