Start a new WebCT site

1. Request a WebCT shell via the link below

   • for a Spring or Summer 2008 academic course

   or

   • for purpose of future course development, administrative use, collaboration use....etc (available for faculty, staff and recognized student organizations).

A new WebCT shell should be in place for each course, every semester if the faculty choose to use WebCT as a teaching too.

The WebCT shell will be available 5 business days after the request is submitted.

2. Login to WebCT, you will see the new course appear in your 'myWebCT' area. The login instruction is on the left pane.

3. The Getting Started handout will show you how to add syllabus and course materials to your course, and how to use the discussion board

4. e-mail to webct@etal.uri.edu to request temporary WebCT ids for your guest, or to see your course as a student. Include your WebCT login ID in the message.
