Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs
Welcome and thank you for your interest in the University of Rhode Island. As the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, my primary responsibility is serving as a liaison between the University of Rhode Island faculty and the Office of the Provost, ensuring the faculty perspective is reflected in analyses and policies considered by the administration. These include academic matters between the Provost’s Office and the faculty broadly and Faculty Senate more specifically, such as general education, program and curriculum development, the regulations and policies. In addition, I interface as appropriate with the Office of Higher Education on academic issues. I also share responsibility, along with the other Vice Provosts, for advancing the cause of diversity and equity by promoting a community spirit, a climate of respect and fairness, and curricular transformation that reflects multicultural perspectives. My on-going mission is to facilitate and maintain an environment where each member of the University community is challenged to excel intellectually, personally and professionally.
