Advanced Standing Courses for High School Students
Over 500 high school students participate in URI advanced standing programs each semester earning undergraduate credits while fulfilling local graduation requirements.
Current programs involve biotechnology, writing, and financial accounting in class and over the internet at 30 area high schools. Students benefit by the opportunity to address the challenges of college level curricula with their high school teachers in a familiar environment at fees substantially lower than on-campus courses. If you are interested in any of the advanced standing courses, please contact your high school guidance counselor.
