Library Services for Instructors
Bibliographic Instruction
CCE instructors may request a library instruction session for any class. We will teach students how to use the various tools available in the library, including the computer databases. Classes can be geared to specific subjects and/or assignments. We also offer LIB 120, a 3-credit course in information literacy. It is an in-depth look at information retrieval and critical analysis, teaching information gathering, and management skills.
Electronic Reserves
Instructors may put items on Reserve for your class. To find out what is on Reserve you may look up your course by Instructor or by course code. If there is an electronic version of the item you want, it will be listed as such. Click on the item you want and it will appear, full text, on your screen. You may be asked for your name and library bar code to verify your identity. This makes some Reserve items available to you from ANY computer-at home, at work, or in another library.
