Notes:

  1. The Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange (CSRDE) sets the criteria for the calculation of retention statistics. Information about the Consortium, the retention survey, and national data can be found at http://www.occe.ou.edu/csrde.

  2. First-time freshmen are entering freshmen who have not previously enrolled in a degree-seeking program. Students with fewer than 24 college credits earned through advance placement courses while in high school are included.

  3. The annual cohort is comprised of students who carry a full-time (12 or more) credit load in their first term. Students remain in the cohort permanently regardless of enrollment status and credit loads in subsequent terms.

  4. Continuation rate is the percentage of first-time freshmen in a given fall term cohort who returned to the institution in a subsequent fall term.

  5. Graduation rate is the cumulative percentage of first-time freshmen in a given fall term cohort who graduated within a designated period of time.

  6. A year for this survey is the 12-month period from the beginning of a fall term in one year to the beginning of the following fall term.

  7. SAT average scores are based on the number of students submitting scores. Students submitting ACT scores are not included in this calculation.
