Campus Tours

You are welcome without reservations

The campus visit is the most important part of your college selection process. Our spring schedule runs from February 2 to April 29, 2009, with the exception of holidays and university breaks. We encourage you to take a tour and attend an information session to make the most of your visit. This way you'll be able to ask questions of an admission officer, and spend time with a URI student – your tour guide! Our online calendar includes dates and times for our Information Sessions and Campus Tours.

If you are interested in our Pharmacy program, special Information Sessions are held in Fogarty Hall (Room 107) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 11:00 am. from February 2 to April 29, 2009.

Parking
  • When you arrive on campus, all visitors should go directly to the Visitor Information Center. Enter the University on Upper College Road (main entrance), proceed past the Admission Office, and continue through the 4-way stop sign to the Visitor Information Center on the right, to obtain a parking pass and directions.
  • Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to a scheduled Tour or Information Session to allow time for parking.
  • We are excited about our new campus residence halls and dining hall. Visitors will visit these sites and have access to all buildings and facilities normally included on our campus tour. We encourage you to dress comfortably.
  • Parking is not available in the Admission Office lot.
The Admission Office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.

All tours are walking tours which last approximately an hour and a half. Please be aware of the weather forecast and dress appropriately for your visit.

Along with our student-led tours (approximately 90 minutes), you will see listings for Information Sessions (45 minutes), which are hosted by a member of the Admission staff. Information Sessions are followed immediately by a full tour of campus. We are unable to offer individual interviews.

There are also special information sessions for Transfer Students, too. See our Transfer Events page to learn more.
