Fall 2010 NEASC Focused Evaluation
October 31-November 2, 2010
The University has received the final report from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Commission on Institutions of Higher Education regarding the Fall 2010 focused evaluation. The report linked below is generally positive, commending the University for the progress made over the past three years on the three areas of focus identified by the Commission after our last comprehensive evaluation in 2007. There is still work to be done, but we are making substantial progress at URI in assuring our constituents of the quality of the institution.
The fifth-year report is due to the Commission in August 2012. This report asks institutions to reflect on progress since the last comprehensive review and to project areas of focus for the next five years leading up to the next comprehensive review in 2017. A sub-committee of the Joint Committee on Academic Planning (JCAP), chaired by Prof. Marilyn Barbour, is leading the work on this five-year review.
The report on the 2010 focused evaluation form the Commission in Higher Education is expected in April 2010
